Salary Range: £40,449 - £45,524 per annum

Work Location: Three Minsters House, Winchester

Hours per week: 37

Senior Bridge Engineer with project management skills needed!


This opportunity is advertised as full-time; however, we're also happy to consider applications from people wanting to work on a part-time basis and/or wanting to work flexibly.

Our Engineering Consultancy is a forward-thinking in-house business unit offering a range of services to the County Council and other public authorities. We provide design, project management and financial / contract management services from early stages of a project through to supervision of actual construction.


Working in the Structures Section, you'll be responsible for project management and design of a wide variety of bridge maintenance, strengthening and replacement schemes, as well as the inspection and assessment of bridges and other highway structures.


You'll have significant post-graduate experience in design and construction of bridges and highway structures and will be a chartered civil or structural engineer. Experience in the management and mentoring of junior staff would also be an advantage. You should have an in-depth knowledge of relevant design standards (Eurocodes), construction methods and contract procedures. We're a very supportive and collaborative team and your colleagues will support you to widen your expertise in this role.
