Are you a motivated individual looking to join a dynamic SAP team?

As part of our new SAP Support team, you’ll use your thorough knowledge of SAP Finance modules to provide effective support to incidents that are raised by the business and our partner organisations.  You’ll analyse challenging queries with a view to resolving them within agreed SLAs.  Collaborating with other SAP teams and with support colleagues in our Integrated Business Centre will be important, as will the ability to articulate complex technical themes to non-technical audiences.

Job Purpose:

Working closely with the wider SAP teams you will be a key member of the SAP Support Team responsible for the support and testing of the IBC solution.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for SAP FI and Procurement applications and interfaces.
  • Liaise with other SAP teams to ensure support incidents are resolved within SLA.
  • Assist with updating support processes and documentation.
  • Design and keep updated testing plans, templates and all related testing documentation.
  • Plan and complete SAP FI and Procurement testing to agreed timescales.

  • Awareness of corporate and departmental policies and procedures and current systems and ensure these are followed within the team

Role Requirements:


  • Thorough knowledge of SAP Finance modules, either as a proficient user or in a support role
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player alongside ability to work independently
  • Strong client interaction skills
  • Enthusiasm for development and learning new skills
  • Good standard of education


  • Knowledge of other SAP modules, ideally Procurement
  • Experience of working in an IT environment
  • Awareness of the IBC and how it supports HCC and our partners
  • Practical SAP support experience, ideally in a public sector environment or a large complex organisation
