The Position

We’re seeking an experienced Support Consultant to join our SAP Support Team (FI). You’ll be required to deliver responsive and effective working relationships with colleagues and customers across the business and our partner organisations whilst maintaining the integrity and effectiveness of our SAP function.

Job Purpose:

Working closely with the wider SAP teams you will be a key member of the SAP Support Team responsible for the support and testing of the IBC solution.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for SAP FI and Procurement applications and interfaces.
  • Liaise with other SAP teams to ensure support incidents are resolved within SLA.
  • Assist with updating support processes and documentation.
  • Design and keep updated testing plans, templates and all related testing documentation.
  • Plan and complete SAP FI and Procurement testing to agreed timescales.


Corporate & Statutory Initiatives

  • Awareness of corporate and departmental policies and procedures and current systems and ensure these are followed within the team

Role Requirements:


  • Expert knowledge of  SAP FI modules either in a support role or as an expert user role
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong team player alongside ability to work independently
  • Strong client interaction skills
  • Enthusiasm for development and learning new skills
  • Good standard of education


  • Knowledge of other SAP modules, ideally Procurement
  • Experience of working in an IT environment
  • Awareness of the IBC and how it supports HCC and our partners
  • Practical SAP support experience, ideally in a public sector environment or a large complex organisation
  • A degree and/or formal industry recognised qualifications or relevant experience.
