The Role:
Hampshire Pension Services deliver a quality pension administration service to scheme members and employers, for four Local Government funds, two Fire authorities and one Police force.
We’re looking for enthusiastic and positive people to join our busy team. As a pensions administrator you’ll be involved in the day-to-day administration, in Pensions Customer Support Team.
As part of the Pension team, it's essential that you're able to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people. You'll need excellent organisational skills and be able to prioritise your work on a day-to-day basis to fit in with the requirements and deadlines of the team. You'll be able to identify issues and suggest solutions, have the ability to motivate others and have a “can do” attitude.
You'll be thorough with great attention to detail, a team player and able to see things through to the end, ensuring excellent outcomes for our customers in the process.
What you’ll do:
- Excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to answer technical queries by email and telephone
- Exceptional customer service – be a role model for the delivery of outstanding customer service to members and employers across Hampshire and our partner funds
- A strong team player who can positively support and coach other team members
- Brilliant organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight timescales and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to getting it right first time
- Showing initiative and be able to problem solve, escalating as appropriate to managers
- Work with others in the wider pensions team to achieve objectives
What we’re looking for:
- 5 GCSEs (grade C or 4 and above) including Maths and English
- Are you enthusiastic and positive?
- Are you a strong communicator (written and verbal) who can build good working relationships with customers and peers?
- Do you have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines?
- Do you have good attention to detail?
- Can you offer excellent Customer Service, and do you enjoy helping people?
- Are you willing to learn and try new things?
- Do you have strong IT skills?

We're normally based in our modern city centre building in Winchester with quick links to public transport, but we are currently working on a hybrid basis combining home working with 1 day a week in the office.
