An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Employment & Skills Adviser to join our Hampshire Futures team at Hampshire County Council.

Hampshire Futures is seeking a dynamic and motivated Employment & Skills Adviser to join our Work Experience Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people across Hampshire, including those in schools, colleges, and those who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

The Role:

As an Employment & Skills Adviser you will be responsible for sourcing, brokerage, and managing high-quality and meaningful work experience placements for young people across Hampshire. This includes students from schools and colleges, as well as young people who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET), Care Experienced Young People and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The role supports personal development, career readiness, and progression into further education, training, or employment.

What you’ll do:

You will be matching young people to placements that reflect their interests, aspirations, and support needs. Alongside this, you will building strong relationships with local employers and promoting inclusive opportunities.

As part of the role, you will be supporting young people before, during, and after their placements to ensure a positive experience.

You will be working collaboratively with schools, colleges, careers advisers, and support services and contributing to wider programmes such as Supported Internships.
