The Role:

To act on behalf of and in support of the Coroner by managing the timely and accurate preparation, review and disclosure of evidence in coronial investigations and inquests. The role is responsible for ensuring that all elevant documentation is complete, appropriately redacted, and shared with identified Interested Persons and stakeholders in accordance with the Coroner’s directions and applicable legislation. 

What you’ll do:

The Disclosure Officer works collaboratively with Coroners, Coroners’ Officers, court staff and external agencies to coordinate case readiness, identify gaps in evidence, and resolve disclosure issues, while maintaining a sensitive and professional approach when engaging with bereaved families and other parties. 

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a highly organised, resilient and compassionate administrator with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive and often complex cases. The successful candidate will have strong investigative, case management and reporting skills, together with experience in a responsible administrative role.

You will be confident using Microsoft Office and database systems, capable of producing accurate work to a high standard, and able to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, particularly when dealing sensitively and professionally with bereaved families, colleagues and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound judgement, emotional resilience and a flexible approach to work. Knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of coronial processes, police procedures or healthcare services would be advantageous.
