The Role:
You will be working as part of the Community Transport and Contracts Team to deliver a joined up and effective ‘Connect Service’ offering in Hampshire.
What you’ll do:
Your focus will be on the delivery of community transport contracts, working closely with operators to ensure effective and reliable service delivery that best meets the needs of Hampshire residents. You will also have the opportunity to work as part of a team to deliver new services, projects or work area including elements of our community-led grant streams. You will work closely with Children’s Services Directorate through your role in managing the processes associated with the passenger transport Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). The role will require close partnership working and regular collaboration with community transport operators as well as Borough/ District and Parish Councils.
What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of procuring services (including managing tendering, evaluation and contract award); ongoing contract management, negotiation and contract variations; as well as monitoring the performance of schemes, projects or transport services.
The successful candidate will be required to manage their workload effectively with limited supervision and be a team player.
Good communication skills and a track record of working with other teams or organisations in partnership would be an advantage.
