The Role:

As Commercial Planning and Information Manager you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of the service. Working closely with senior managers, you will provide trusted advice, insight and constructive challenge, enabling sound decision making and sustainable service delivery. You will also lead a skilled team, ensuring they are supported to thrive and perform at their best.

 

The team currently operates a hybrid working model combining home working, office-based work and visits to countryside locations across Hampshire. You must be able to meet the travel requirements of this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead strategic planning, business insight and performance information management across the service.
  • Provide high quality analysis, information and recommendations to senior managers to support informed, evidence based decisions.
  • Support the development and delivery of savings programmes, service transformation and business change initiatives.
  • Lead on business assurance, compliance and governance, ensuring robust controls and processes are in place.
  • Develop and maintain business models that support sustainable service delivery and long term public value.
  • Lead, coach and support a specialist team, fostering a positive, collaborative and high performing culture.

What we’re looking for:

  • A commercially aware, analytically minded professional with strong judgement and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of advising and influencing senior managers, providing insight and constructive challenge.
  • The ability to interpret complex information and present clear, concise recommendations that support confident decision making.
  • A collaborative working style, with a practical understanding of operational constraints.
  • Experience of leading, supporting and developing people or teams.
