Work Location: Elizabeth II Court, Winchester (hybrid working)
Hours per week: 7.4
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 6 April 2025

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Hampshire's Inclusion Support Service. The key aim of the Inclusion Support Service (ISS) is to ensure that children have access to education. We work closely and tirelessly with schools, parents and other agencies to secure the best possible educational outcomes for children.

Reduced Hours Provision (RHP) refers to children that are receiving an education that is less than full-time for a short, agreed period. Hampshire County Council (HCC) is fully committed to the duty and imperative to champion vulnerable learners and to ensure that all children and young people access an education suitable to their needs. HCC believes that RHP should only be put in place in the best interests of the child.

Any child or young person who is not in receipt of full-time education is deemed to be at risk of missing education, and at heightened risk of vulnerability from a safeguarding perspective, and therefore needs to be identified and tracked by schools and local authorities alike.

You will be an integral part of the Reduced Hours Provision Team and be a contact point for RHP queries from schools, parents and other agencies, either by telephone or email.  You will maintain a database of pupils who are receiving RHP, produce reports and be expected to support the RHP Officer on case work involving direct support.
You will have strong organisational skills, be flexible, be professionally curious and enjoy working within a busy team. Competent, flexible IT/keyboard and administrative skills across Microsoft are essential.  Experience of working in a school environment preferable.

As a RHP Administrator you will need to be reliable, demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, and understand the need to maintain confidentiality, safeguarding and GDPR regulations.

We can offer great flexible working options for this role; although you will be based at Elizabeth Court II, Winchester, some of this role can be carried out remotely but with some office-based working required to support business needs. This role is part-time, requiring 7.4 hours of work to be completed in one day each week.
