The Role:

Join Jacobs Lodge as a Registered Manager and use your compassion and leadership to make a meaningful difference every day. Our 8 bedded service provides respite and short stay support for adults aged 18+ with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs, offering both planned and emergency stays. What you’ll do:

  • Lead the delivery of high quality, person centred care that meets CQC standards, clinical requirements and organisational policies.
  • Manage resources, staffing and budgets effectively to ensure safe, skilled and well organised services that meet service user’s needs.
  • Provide strong, inspiring leadership that builds a confident workforce, promotes evidence based practice and drives continuous improvement.
  • Oversee quality assurance, audits and compliance activity, ensuring services meet statutory, regulatory and internal standards.
  • Build positive relationships with service users, families, staff, partners and external agencies to shape and improve service delivery.
  • Support team and individual development through supervision, training, performance planning and the implementation of new practice initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of legislation, CQC regulations, Health & Safety, equality and diversity and the statutory framework for adult social care.
  • Proven experience as a Deputy or Registered Manager in a relevant care setting, with a track record of leading teams and driving continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in people management, team building and inspiring others, with excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident in analysing data, interpreting complex information and managing budgets effectively.
  • Committed to inclusive, person centred practice and providing high-quality support for vulnerable adults.
  • A role model for organisational values — accountable, flexible, compassionate and responsive to changing needs.

This role involves some weekend and bank holiday working, for which enhancements are paid in line with the HCC salary policy.

Travel Requirements:

You may be required to visit other locations within Hampshire, and therefore need to have the ability to travel, as necessary.
