Family Time Supervisor

Job Details:

Job Reference: HCC622802
Salary Range: £27,780 - £30,564 per annum
Work Location: 1 High Street, Totton
Hours per week: 37
Contract Type: Permanent
Closing Date: 3 December 2025

The Role:

The purpose of the Contact Supervisor role is to provide safe and meaningful supervised contact for children with their parents, family members or carers. This service is for children who are in the care of the Local Authority. The children could be aged from birth all the way up to teenagers.

What you’ll do:

This role is a county wide role, and you will be expected to travel across Hampshire to support contact for children with parents, sibling and wider family. You will be expected to work 37 hours a week, flexibly and may be asked to work early mornings or later evenings to support family needs.

A typical day could be preparing for contact by reading recent information and updates about the family then phoning a school to let them know they are collecting a child for contact. Once at the venue, the Contact Supervisor would observe the contact whilst taking notes. Once contact is complete, the child is returned to their placement. The Contact Supervisor would then complete a report which could, in future, be used for court purposes.
