The Role:
Staunton Farm is a popular family attraction within Hampshire County Council's Countryside Service, offering visitors a wide range of engaging activities, seasonal events, and memorable experiences throughout the year.
We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Visitor Events and Engagement Officer. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, particularly families and children, and who is passionate about creating enjoyable and meaningful visitor experiences.
What you’ll do:
As Visitor Events and Engagement Officer, you will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering a varied programme of family-friendly events, seasonal activities, and community engagement opportunities. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure activities are safe, enjoyable, and well organised while helping to maximise visitor satisfaction and participation.
The role requires flexibility and includes regular weekend, bank holiday, and school holiday working as part of a full-year operation. You will be expected to contribute positively to the day-to-day visitor experience while supporting the continued growth and success of the attraction.

What we’re looking for:
The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy visitor-facing environment and will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will be organised, proactive, and adaptable, with a strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining high standards across the site.
Experience in social media management, content creation, basic marketing, and designing promotional materials such as posters and digital content would be beneficial. The ability to engage audiences both in person and online will help support the farm's visitor engagement and promotional activities.

You’ll be required to work a rota pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include some weekends and bank holidays for which enhancements will be paid in line with the Hampshire County Council salary policy.
