Are you passionate about making a difference in our community?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Support Worker to join our Out of Hours team. We believe in helping families to be stronger together, creating and embedding sustainable change to build resilience, and improving outcomes for children, young people and vulnerable adults. As an Out of Hours Support Worker working primarily from the office, you will be at the forefront of this support, working with families with children with multiple and complex needs and with vulnerable adults. This will include working with adolescents, children with disabilities, and adults with social care and support needs.

Your intervention could make all the difference in ensuring that children can remain safely at home with their family, and the safety of vulnerable adults within the community. You could be supporting parents who have experienced significant trauma themselves which is affecting their ability to care for their children properly, through to supporting an elderly person coming home from hospital. You will be part of a larger multi-disciplinary hub who works collaboratively with each other and the family to deliver a whole family approach and keeping vulnerable adults and children safe within their communities.

Flexibility in working hours is key to ensure services are delivered at optimal times of the day to reflect the needs of the family. Therefore, you will be required to work outside of standard business hours including Bank Holidays, evenings, nights and weekends. As you will be working with vulnerable people across a geographical area, you must also be able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
