The Role:

As part of the continued growth and development of the Reablement Service within Hampshire, we are excited to share the opportunity for you to join us as an Occupational Therapist. You will be responsible for leading holistic assessments of Reablement need and planning interventions to support across a multi-disciplinary team. You will also have opportunity to support service development and innovation.

Through service redesign we have ensured all staff, including our Occupational Therapists, have the benefit of Advanced Practitioners, Consultants, and a Lead Occupational Therapist to support excellent standards of practice across both the Reablement Service and the wider department. This is encompassed by the four pillars of professional practice, facilitation of learning, leadership and education, research & development. (RCOT 2021).

Occupational Therapy principles underpin our service, and we are continually seeking opportunities to enhance delivery. Personal development for all staff is a priority, having a structured workforce development plan in place whereby we actively encourage and support continuing professional development, including formal qualification routes.

We are passionate about working in collaborative partnership with organisations across Health and Social care in maximising independence, preventing hospital admissions, and facilitating rapid discharge from hospital to improve outcomes for the people of Hampshire.

We believe in rewarding our staff for their commitment to delivering essential public services with an extensive range of benefits. We want to help you strive to be the best you can be, and to enjoy serving Hampshire with purpose and pride.

With a work-life balance, Travel discounts and more - find out what we can offer you as a valued Hampshire County Council employee.

The Reablement Service operates 7 days a week and there will be a requirement to work weekends on a rotational 1:8 basis.

You will be required to travel to various locations within Hampshire, and it is essential that you have a current drivers’ licence and access to a reliable vehicle on a regular basis.

Values Based Recruitment:

We recruit for attitudes and values in Adults’ Health and Care. We invite you to evidence how you demonstrate the 5 core values we hold in your application.
