The Role:

As part of Hampshire County Council’s Countryside Service, Manor Farm is a vibrant, family focused visitor attraction offering exciting activities, seasonal events, and memorable days out. We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative, and customer focused individual to join our team as Visitor Services Officer – Events & Engagement.

The role will also:

  • Develop Manor Farm’s social media presence in collaboration with marketing colleagues.
  • Support marketing activity to increase awareness of Manor Farm, particularly themed events and seasonal offers.
  • Line manage the House Team and ensure staff and volunteers feel supported, motivated, and able to deliver excellent customer service.

What you’ll do:

To deliver high quality, engaging, and memorable family experiences at Manor Farm. This includes planning, preparing, and delivering a full programme of family events and seasonal activities; coordinating interactive experiences; and ensuring all visitor facing areas are welcoming, safe, and enjoyable.

We are looking for someone with experience in a busy visitor attraction who brings excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. You will be flexible, proactive, and highly organised, with strong attention to detail and an outgoing, welcoming manner.

What we’re looking for:

Experience in social media content creation, basic marketing principles, and confidence in designing posters and digital media would be advantageous.

As a Visitor Services Officer, you will plan, deliver and support a diverse programme of family events, seasonal activities, and engagement opportunities. You will champion excellent customer service, support community participation, and help ensure that the site remains welcoming, safe, and enjoyable for all.

This position is ideal for someone seeking full time work throughout the year, including school holidays, with regular weekend and bank holiday working. Job share arrangements may be considered.

You’ll be required to work a rota pattern to respond to the demands of the service. Your working pattern will include some weekends and bank holidays for which enhancements will be paid in line with the Hampshire County Council salary policy.
