Our Serious Crime Review Team are looking to recruit two (2) Review Team Officers. The hybrid role will be based between Mottisfont Court, Winchester and your home location.
Your role will be to conduct, either as part of a team or individually, high quality reviews and quality assurance of major crime investigations which will include homicide, unexpected death, Serious Sexual offending, critical and serious incidents and all other occurrences as directed in order to ensure the highest professional and ethical standards of investigation and enhance the detection of crime and the positive resolution of incidents.; initially the focus will be to predominately provide high quality reviews on Serious Sexual Offending (undetected/ unresolved rape).
You will assist in formal debriefing processes around detected or otherwise concluded major crime investigations, critical and serious incidents or other occurrences as directed, ensuring that all relevant information and issues are captured, recorded and disseminated as appropriate.
The role will include compiling comprehensive, succinct and timely reports detailing findings, recommendations and organisational learning and building/submitting files to CPS for consideration as appropriate.

Essential Qualifications
Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level.
Essential Experience
Previous experience in the supervision, management and investigation of serious crimes (e.g. murder / manslaughter / stranger rape).
Proven investigative track record in criminal investigations and can demonstrate recent exposure (within last two years).
Possess the skills to engage with and interview both staff and managers in an effective, detailed fashion during the course of the review process.
Experience in analysing, assessing and making decisions from large volumes of written and electronic information.
Experience of managing and processing numerous investigations whilst demonstrating a high level of attention to detail.
Experience of working autonomously and as part of a team, working under pressure to meet deadlines
