Salary: PO1 £40,893.00 - £43,920.00
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract: Permanent

As a Digital Business Change Advisor you will be responsible for supporting the joint Thames Valley Police and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary Digital Business Change Team by developing & assisting with the implementation and adoption of the Strategic Digital Strategy through engagement with end users, oversight of in-scope projects and maintaining excellent working relationships with ICT and business stakeholders.

 

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:


1. Use knowledge and experience of policing bringing operational credibility; be the conduit between the needs of the front line and the requirement for business change from a Digital perspective.
2. Lead digital business change readiness assessments, mapping activity and identifying gaps between current and future state business processes. Identify, define and track benefits and outcomes of Digital projects/programmes, to ensure we mature in our Digital capabilities and improve both Forces’ effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Provide effective reviews of, and updates on programmes of work and department initiatives, identifying risks and issues and proposing mitigating actions.
4. Provide advice and support to department Managers and their teams around Digital change. Resolve queries and issues; sharing lessons learned with stakeholders across both forces’ Digital, ICT and Force Change departments.
5. Support Learning and Development and Corporate Communications colleagues with the creation of training content and communication materials to support Digital learning, gain buy-in and embed changes as business as usual.
6. Assisting with the day-to-day running of the Digital Change Network and Digital Change Champions.

Additional requirements

Maintain personal responsibility for collection, recording, evaluation, information sharing, review, retention and disposal of information in compliance with codes of practice and Guidance in the Management of Information, information security policy, procedures and legislation.

The role holder may be required to visit various locations within Hampshire and the Isle of Wight and therefore needs to have the ability to travel as necessary undertaking all assignments in a timely manner.

Essential Qualifications

 

Essential: Educated to QCF Level 5 in Management or other relevant discipline OR work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

 

Essential Experience

 

  • Experience of working closely with users and stakeholders, understanding their issues through active listening and influencing them for outcomes rather than through direct line authority.
  • Maintain a technical awareness to be able to translate at a level where alternative options can be explained.
  • Experience of understanding and articulating how the application of digital technology affects the forces policing and business objectives while supporting the organisations.
  • Experience of working with Microsoft 365 applications with the ability to help colleagues and departments gain the maximum benefit from the applications available to them.
