Salary Range: SO1 £33,915 - £35,982 per annum (full-time)

Work Location: Near Fareham

Hours per week: 37 hours per week, (Monday – Friday with flexible office hours)

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join us as a team supervisor, within a national policing unit working to ensure safer communities in the UK and around the world.

 

More about the role

In addition to managing the day-to-day workload of your team, and the wider department with your colleagues, the Head of Section role has specific responsibility for a number of processes. Whilst supporting the performance and development of your team members, you will also be required to review and update your process areas in order to improve efficiencies. Strong organisational skills and the ability to problem solve effectively are key to the role. You will be working in a fast paced, complex and challenging environment, so the expectation is that you will be able to respond quickly and confidently to changing priorities. 

 

Candidates should note that this role may require national and international travel which may involve overnight stays. The successful candidate must be able to meet travel requirements so therefore possess a valid passport for travel outside of the UK and have access to a reliable system of transport where required.

 

The successful candidate may need to work occasional unsocial hours to respond to operational demands.

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 3 OR work experience deemed to have brought the post holder to a comparable level

Essential Experience

At least two years working in a busy office environment with some evidence of either managing a small team or allocating work, mentoring or coaching others etc

 

Supervisory experience to include conducting performance reviews, managing attendance and developing staff.
