Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary are looking for experienced investigators based in Hampshire of the Isle of Wight willing to travel to a range of locations including Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton or the Isle of Wight to be part of a professional and dedicated team carrying out a wide variety of investigations.
As a Police Staff Investigator (PSI), your duties will encompass a wide range of investigative activities including, but not limited to, statement taking, securing and reviewing CCTV, suspect interviewing, Offences Taken into Consideration (TIC’s), intelligence interviews, file building inc disclosure declarations, and full Officer in Case (OIC) duties, which includes attending court and giving evidence.
You will also assist other investigators with key case progression such as disclosure reviews, redacting material, reviewing 3rd party data and document scheduling.
We require you to be qualified to PIP2 or equivalent, have proven experience of working within an investigatory type role, ideally with a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.
This role will suit an experienced former Detective Constable, Detective Sergeant, Detective Inspector, Police Staff Investigator or Civilian Investigator looking for a range of flexible work.

If your application is successful, you will be aligned to one of our 6 day inductions before joining your team. The inductions are full time hours Monday to Friday and usually based at Netley just outside Southampton.
