About Us:

We believe that through our leadership and working together we can create the best environment to support our unique heritage and the growth that benefits our local communities and of which we are the proud custodian.

At Westminster City Council, we want to make our city an unrivalled place of choice and aspiration, where the connections we build among our teams, our residents, our businesses and our visitors grow ever stronger. Everyone who lives, works or visits here plays their part in, and benefits from, our borough’s continued success.

The Role:

Our mental health services are moving towards the creation of newly formed, integrated Community Mental Health Hubs. We’re looking for Mental Health Social Workers or AMHPs to work in our multi-disciplinary community teams with the ambition and drive to help us deliver this exciting transformation.

The successful applicants will be joining the team in North Westminster, based at our location in Westbourne Park,- just walking distance from Bayswater, Ladbroke Grove and the Portobello Road.

You’ll play a key role in the new team as we become more closely aligned with primary care, ensuring we provide a seamless service for residents of Westminster who have mental health problems and their carers: providing personalised care plans, linking with mainstream community resources, and assisting patients as they move towards as much independence as possible.

As with any period of transformation, we understand there will be challenges.  We’re looking for committed professionals who are absolutely passionate about improving the lives of our service users.

You’ll be working with people with acute or   severe and enduring mental health problems and will need a thorough understanding of the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 and other relevant legislation.
