The Role:

Westminster Music Library is looking for a motivated individual to deliver first class customer focused library services; maximising quality and outcomes, maintaining excellent levels of customer satisfaction and contributing to the Councils’ objectives and priorities. 


Welcoming customers and supporting their information and learning needs, signposting to the right resources and empowering them with the skills to access relevant information.


Working in partnership with volunteers and organisations and promoting the service to the wider community. 


Maintaining and overseeing a safe, functional, and appealing environment within the library space.

About You:

Westminster Music Library has a 29 hour Library Customer Serive Officer vacancy assisting with the provision of a high quality music service. You will demontrate enthusiasm and initiative and be able to take responsibility for the daily operation of designated areas of work, including managing income generation, a highly successful events and activities programme and developing the Music Library’s digital offer.


Candidates must demonstrate excellent music knowledge and the ability to read music, and also be able to engage and interact with customers in a sensitive and friendly way.


You must be able to deliver a high-quality customer service, be flexible and embrace change. Excellent interpersonal and strong IT skills including an awareness of social media are also essential. We are looking for individuals willing to take on new challenges and initiatives, but also take responsibility for the library building and undertake core operational functions


You will need to be flexible in your working hours as evening and weekend work is required, and on occasion you may be asked to work at different sites.
