Salary range: £19,945 – £22,021 pro-rata, per annum (Hourly rate equivalent £10.34 to £11.41)
Work location: The Cherwell School, Oxford
Hours per week: 32.5 (Term Time Only – 39 working weeks with 5.45 weeks paid leave)
Contract type: Permanent 
Closing date: Monday 8th June 2020
Interview date: Week beginning 22nd June 2020

We are looking for enthusiastic teaching assistants to join our team working in the specialist Resource Base at The Cherwell School for children with Autism and Communication and Interaction needs.


Required for 1 September 2020 or as soon as possible.



About Us


Our Communication and Interaction Resource Bases belong in mainstream schools where you will work closely with specialist classroom teachers, providing directed support, care and supervision to children including those who have Autistic Spectrum Disorders and associated language, interaction, learning and communication difficulties.



About the Role


The aim of your support and guidance will be to enable the children to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion in school life, supporting children to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.



About You


Our ideal candidate has a quiet and encouraging manner, highly developed communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. You need to be open to learning and to have an awareness of the importance of inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
