Salary range: £20,852 - £23,023 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £7,326 - £8,089 pro-rata, per annum); hourly rate equivalent £10.81, rising to 11.93 per hour

Work location: The Cherwell School, Communication and Interaction Resource Base, Oxford

Hours per week: 13 hours - we are open to discussions about flexible working

Contract type: Temporary 1 year  -  with the possibility of extension or being made permanent ; please note that this post is Term Time only - working 39 weeks per annum, Paid Leave Entitlement – 5.45 weeks

Interview date: Wednesday 13th July 2022

About us


Our Communication and Interaction Resource Bases belong in mainstream schools where you will work closely with specialist classroom and mainstream subject teachers, providing directed support, care and supervision to children including those on the Autism Spectrum  and children with differences in their language, interaction, learning and communication.


About the role


The aim of your support and guidance will be to enable children to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion in school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.


About you


Our ideal candidate has a quiet and encouraging manner, highly developed communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations.


You need to be open to learning and to have a commitment to inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
