Social Worker (Unaccompanied Children and Young People) OCC50791

Salary range: £31,346 - £37,890 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £18,638 - £22,529 per annum)

Work location: Knights Court, Oxford

Hours per week: 22 - we are open to discussions about flexible working 

Contract type: Permanent

Closing date: Sunday 28th February 2021

A permanent Social Work post is available in the countywide Unaccompanied Child and Young Person's team.

 

 

 

About us

 

The Unaccompanied Child and Young Person's Team has recently transformed into a separate service under the Children We Care For structure. The team will be covering age ranges from 0-25.

 

 

About the role

 

You will be working with unaccompanied children and young people who have previously entered the country in a clandestine way or a planned way through the National Transfer Scheme.

 

You will find that the role can be very rewarding as you support a child through their journey of adapting to a new life in the UK and support through the Children We Care For Journey.

 

 

About you

 

As a Social Worker you will need a wide range of skills including knowledge of immigration systems alongside a knowledge of specialised services on offer in Oxfordshire.
