The Programme Management Office (PMO) sits within Growth and Economy directorate and supports the delivery of a half a billion-pound plus capital infrastructure programme over the coming years.

About the role

 

You will be employed through Oxfordshire County Council having an oversight of the infrastructure programmes schemes and supporting Project Managers and Programme Leads with accurate reporting and keeping project information up to date.

 

The position is a key role in the delivery of the projects and programmes. You will challenge current working practises and functions. You will be responsible for collating and interpreting project and programme information. Assisting the programme and project managers with the delivery of the schemes.

 

This role can offer flexibility in working patterns and location to suit applicants. We welcome applications from diverse backgrounds.

 

 

About you

 

We are seeking an individual with sound knowledge of business processes. You will be required to produce reports/papers and presentations for meetings. A very good understanding of excel and the ability to interpret data as well as recommending changes when appropriate is key.

 

A good ability of analysing data to early identify variations to business trends and lessons learned is key. You'll work closely with the scheme officers and assist the leadership team by producing strategic reports.

 

This is an outstanding opportunity for a Programme Management Unit Officer to make their mark in our busy but fast paced environment. This role is ideally suited to a motivated, confident individual, with self-starter capabilities, comfortable to working alone as well as part of a team.
