We are looking for a consultation and engagement specialist who is passionate about making voices count, to join our friendly, top-class communications, marketing and engagement service.




About us


This post is based in the communications, marketing and engagement service, which provides integrated communications, marketing, consultation and engagement advice and support across all service areas at Oxfordshire County Council



About the role


Our engagement and consultations officers bring their wide range of skills to plan, deliver and evaluate a wide range of consultation, engagement and social research exercises across the council, working closely with service leads and with suppliers. They are experts in their field and ensure that the insight gathered is used to its full potential for service planning and to inform communications and engagement activity.


Our team works closely with service areas, councillors, and partners including health, city and district councils, the voluntary sector and user-led organisations – and with the wider communications, marketing and engagement team to ensure that activity is effective, safe, lawful, coordinated and complementary. They would be responsible for gaining the perspectives of a wide range of different residents and organisations including residents, service users, children and young people, people with disabilities, carers, older people, staff and stakeholders using a wide range of research methods - in person, digitally and by phone. 



About you


We are looking for someone with a broad range of social research, consultation and engagement experience. The role will suit self-starters, with great communication skills and possess a focused attitude to delivery. You will bring energy and enthusiasm to our busy team along with a willingness to continuously learn and develop your skills.
