Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working 
Contract type: Temporary for 24 months

About us


Oxfordshire Employment, an award-winning Countywide Employment Service, is looking to recruit an Employment Advisor to work across a range of initiatives supporting people who have a health or disability barrier to find and stay in work. You'd be working within a small supportive team, travelling county wide in your work, with plenty of opportunity to use your own skills and imitative to make a positive difference to the lives of our customers.


Travel around the county will be required.



About the role


To be successful in the role, you will be able to demonstrate:


  • Knowledge of supporting people with disabilities to reach their employment goals.
  • Knowledge of supporting people with disabilities within a work setting 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with your colleagues, college teams, employers, stakeholders and the people who we are supporting on programmes.
  • Good organisational skills to enable you to work effectively while supporting people in several locations throughout the County 
  • Have excellent communication, negotiation and engagement skills



About you


You will also need the ability to:


  • Lead and advise the Employment Support Workers within the team 
  • Provide advice and solutions to the learning and development to the young people/adults within a work environment or working towards gaining employment whilst maintaining a professional approach always.
  • Provide support to customers to enable them to reach their employment goals.  
  • Provide advice and support to customers to enable them to complete applications forms, CV’s, attend interviews and in-work support  
  • Work under pressure, prioritising and using own initiative in order to manage workloads effectively
  • Have a dynamic approach and a “can-do” attitude towards tasks and peoples learning styles. 
  • Have understanding, patience and professionalism when communicating with people who may have an invested interested in the young person’s future who are availing our Supported Internships.
