We have vacancies for Business Support Apprenticeships across the County in teams that are integral in supporting services.

We have vacancies in Barton, Rose Hill, Bicester, Cowley, Oxford and Abingdon.

This is an exciting apprenticeship opportunity to join Oxfordshire County Council as an Administrator. You will be working as part of the Children’s Services, who are responsible for Children’s Social Care and Special Educational Needs for the whole of Oxfordshire.

Oxfordshire County Council is a large organisation which provides services to the residents, children, young people and families of Oxfordshire. We are committed to providing apprentices with a great opportunity and improving skills both in life and at work. This can be a great stepping stone towards making the most of the career opportunities that are available within our organisation.

Come with your enthusiasm and readiness to learn and we will develop you as an efficient and effective Administrator as part of your Business Support Apprenticeship. You will receive structured off the job development, supported by workplace learning and mentoring.

Training will be delivered in the work place and dedicated time at one of the Abingdon and Witney Colleges.

This apprenticeship is a trainee role designed ideally for someone who has little or no experience in the work place and are encouraging 16-24 year old to apply. As a trainee member of the team apprentices will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform administrative duties to support both the offices and the wider service.

For Apprenticeships we require Numeracy and Literacy level 1 and basic knowledge of IT.

Adjustments to the minimum English and/or maths requirements will be considered by the provider where an apprentice has either an existing or previously issued Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan, a Statement of Special Educational Needs (SEN) or a Learning Difficulty Assessment (LDA).

By applying for this Apprenticeship and the associated training you will be agreeing that your personal information you provide to the Council may be passed to the nominated training provider, ESFA, and the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy. Where necessary it is also shared with the Department for Education, including the Education Funding Agency and any other relevant regulator relating to the Apprenticeship.
