National Citizen Service (NCS) Programme Site Supervisor OCC8545


We are looking for a highly self-motivated person to take on a supervisory role during the second phase of the NCS programme. This will involve setting up workshops, meeting visitors, being responsible for persons camping on site and ensuring they are catered for during their 5-day residential experience (Monday to Friday). You will manage/run activities and workshops (daytime & evening) adhering to the NCS curriculum.


  • Staff training: 22 and 23 June
  • Set up week: 1-5 July
  • Phase 2 delivery: 8-12 July [15-19 July week off] 22 July – 16 August
  • Take down: 19 – 21 August
  • (Mandatory online training modules to be completed in June).


£3,000 [gross]

7.5 hours daily Monday to Friday (7:00am to 2:30pm or 1:30pm to 9:00pm) meals provided during phase 2 delivery dates.

Setting up site and large tents /taking down hours 10 am to 4pm (6 hours daily).

This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the Oxfordshire National Citizen Service (NCS) experience, which has been successfully running in Oxfordshire since 2012. NCS is now the largest youth movement in Europe. Oxfordshire County Council is set to deliver over 1,000 places this year.

This is a fun, creative and interactive role that requires successful staff to be energetic, enthusiastic and able to motivate staff during this phase on the NCS experience.

NCS is housed by Oxfordshire County Council. The role will require staff to have a flexible approach and a positive can do attitude.

Successfully shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.

Please note that applicants must be at least 18 years of age to work on the programme.


This post is subject to a criminal records check. You will be required to bring along the relevant valid identification to the staff assessment for successfully shortlisted applicants.


All applicants must provide 2 references. The first references must be your current or last employer (this can be a tutor if you are at university). Your second reference must then be your next recent previous employer.
