Salary range: £20,493 - £22,627 pro-rata, per annum

Work location: SENSS Communication and Interaction Resource Base, The Warriner School, Bloxham

Hours per week: 32 (Pro Rata FTE = 37 Hours) or 25.75 (Pro Rata FTE = 37) Paid Leave Entitlement – 5.45 weeks

Contract type: Temporary for 1 year, Term-Time only

We are looking for an enthusiastic teaching assistant for full or part time position working in the specialist resource base at The Warriner School for children with Autism and Communication and Interaction needs.


The post is temporary for one year and could be for 4 or 5 days a week - Candidates to express their preference in their application form.


About us


Our Communication and Interaction Resource Bases belong in mainstream schools where you will work closely with specialist classroom and mainstream subject teachers, providing directed support, care and supervision to children including those who have Autistic Spectrum Disorders and associated language, interaction, learning and communication difficulties.

About the role


The aim of your support and guidance will be to enable the children to access the curriculum and to facilitate full inclusion in school life, supporting them to learn as independently as possible and to develop to their full potential.

About you


Our ideal candidate has a quiet and encouraging manner, highly developed communication skills and the ability to remain calm in difficult situations. You need to be open to learning and to have an awareness of the importance of inclusion for children and young people with Special Educational Needs.
