Social Worker (Children's Disability Team) OCC12399

Job Details


Salary Range: £30,507 - £36,876 per annum

Relocation allowance: Up to £8,000

Work Location: Abbey House, Abingdon

Hours per week:  Two posts of up to 37 hours per week – one of which will focus on working with older children and young people (We are open to discussions about flexible working patterns)

Contract type: Permanent

The Children’s Disability Team provides a range of proactive and professional assessments and services to support Oxfordshire disabled children and young people and their families to have positive outcomes.

About the role


Working in an exciting statutory setting; the role involves identifying individual and family needs and ensuring the right support is in place. This involves every kind of social work: direct work with children, Safeguarding, Looked After Children, Young People Leaving Care, Children in Need and supporting 14 - 18 years old in their transition journeys through to Adult Social Care.


We work closely with colleagues within the Local Authority and with our partners in the health, education and voluntary sectors. We are a supportive and inclusive team where you will be empowered to make good professional decisions supported by regular supervision.

About you


A qualified and HCPC registered social worker. You’ll be as passionate as we are about engaging with and giving children and young people the best start in life, putting children and families at the heart of decision making.
