Salary Range: £50,884 - £53,936 per annum

Hours per week: 37

Work location: Flexible within Oxfordshire - to be negotiated with successful candidate

Contract Type: Permanent

Interview date: Thursday 19th and Friday 20th August 2021 - as part of the interview process you will be asked to complete a 10-minute presentation and have the opportunity to meet some of the team. Further information will be provided to successful shortlisted candidates.

Are you a person who is passionate about statutory safeguarding? We are looking for a leader with extensive knowledge of adult safeguarding who would like the opportunity to take the lead responsibility for the operational management of the Safeguarding Service.



In this role:


You will ensure effective safeguarding practices are delivered and that the aims of Making Safeguarding Personal are embedded in all interventions. Ensuring that where individuals need assistance to protect themselves from abuse and neglect from others, or have experienced abuse from others, that professionals work together to support people making decisions about their safety and provide this help in a timely and consistent way, in line with The Care Act 2014.


You will also support the work of the Safeguarding Adults Board and work to progress the Board’s strategic priorities alongside partners. ensuring the highest standards of service is provided to the residents of Oxfordshire. 



You will:


  • Have a Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England
  • Have experience of leading a dynamic team, celebrating successes and providing support
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with an in-depth knowledge of adult safeguarding
  • Have the passion to promote people’s strengths and safety and the ability to make a positive difference


In addition, you should have the ability to travel to and access a variety of premises across Oxfordshire and meet the requirements set out in the Selection Criteria within the Job Description.
