Salary range: £31,346 - £33,782 per annum

Work location: Abbey House, Abingdon / County Hall, Oxford and working remotely

Hours per week: 37 - we are open to discussions about flexible working 

Contract type: Temporary until July 2021 

Closing date: Wednesday 2nd December 2020

The Learner Engagement Service is seeking to recruit individuals to work within the Elective Home Education Team.




About the role


The roles will require visits to schools and family homes (in-line with COVID-19 safeguards and as a lone worker) and work with multi-agency professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children, young people and their families.



About you


You will be a skilled mediator with excellent communication skills working with schools, parents, colleagues and other professional networks. The welfare of the child is paramount; you must have a commitment to inclusion of all children and young people in education.


You should be able to build and maintain working relationships and be able to work using your own initiative, prioritising your workload whilst maintaining flexibility to support the wider team. Knowledge of safeguarding processes, relevant legislation, and experience in mediation or restorative approaches is essential.


You should be ICT literate and confident in using databases and systems. You must demonstrable commitment to and an understanding of the positive promotion of equality, valuing diversity and anti-discriminatory practice.
