Starting salary: £11,620.72 per annum; on completion of probationary period rising to £12,179.30 per annum; then rising to £17,842 pa on completion of 12-months employment
Work location: Abingdon Children and Families Centre or Abbey House, Abingdon
Hours per week: 37
Contract type: Temporary for 18 months

About the roles

 

We have two Customer Service Apprenticeship (Level 2) roles available in our fast-paced Abingdon Children and Families Centre or Abbey House, Abingdon.

 

An apprenticeship (Level 2) is a trainee role designed for an individual who has little or no previous work experience in a similar job. As a trainee member of the team you will develop the skills and knowledge necessary to perform administration duties to support both the offices and the wider service. This programme includes on the job training with ‘buddy ‘support, Functional Skills tuition, dedicated classroom learning at Abingdon or Witney College and time set aside to complete your qualification.

 

We will develop your knowledge, skills and expertise in a number of ways, which will become the main focus of your role.

 

 

About you

 

To be our ideal candidate, you will have a passion to pursue a career in Customer Service and will strive to provide efficient and first-class customer service providing support to social workers and managers.

 

 

Important information for applicants

 

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.

 

This is a trainee role designed for an individual who has little or no previous work experience in a similar role. The Council is tackling under-representation of young people in our workforce under Section 159 of the Equality Act 2010.
