We have an exciting opportunity to lead and develop our new Technology adoption team.  
Reporting to the Head of Digital strategy, the Technology adoption manager will recruit and lead a small team to drive up the successful use and adoption of new corporate technologies across the Council and ensure that all our users are able to access H&F systems and equipment.
With expert knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, particularly the Microsoft 365 product suite, you will be a versatile and engaging educator who is passionate about helping others to develop the skills they need to become confident users of our corporate technologies.
We want to deliver the digital and information services our residents and colleagues deserve, and we are looking to work with like-minded people who are passionate and committed to enabling public service transformation through technology. Our Technology adoption team will be a key contributor to the successful delivery of our objectives and activities in this area.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the design and delivery of H&F’s corporate technical adoption and digital skills development programmes and initiatives across the council.
  • Develop effective strategies and programmes of work to deliver improved digital literacy and the adoption of new technologies across the Council.
  • Work directly with teams and leadership alike across both technical and non-technical areas of the organisation to implement these programmes and initiatives and drive overall improvement to our adoption of new digital skills, technologies and culture.
  • Enable the Council’s officers and Members to be sufficiently prepared for the impact of new corporate IT solutions including understanding and supporting any corporate change initiatives, acquiring the required skills to use any new corporate systems, and working collaboratively to adjust business processes and working practices to take on new solutions.
  • Influence and engage the Council’s leadership to model new ways of working and support them by developing tailored programmes to improve digital confidence and leadership.
  • Lead and develop the Technology adoption team, including overall responsibility for supporting staff with digital accessibility needs and the virtual ‘Tech-bar’ support service at H&F.
