We are seeking an enthusiastic and well organised individual to assist the facilities management department to be responsible for preparing budgets, monitoring costs, preparing schedules, estimates, making payments, monitoring of contracts and assets across the Borough in relation the reactive repairs and the corporate planned maintenance programme for the civic portfolio.

 

Manage a multi skilled team of in-house engineers and contractors to ensure all reactive/planned works along with statutory works are completed within agreed  SLA timescales.

 

Liaise with internal agencies / colleagues and external consultants and contractors.

 

To lead on proactively managing the civic helpdesk ensuring that matters of urgency and sensitivity are prioritised and dealt with and brought to the attention of the senior manager in a timely manner. Ensure all statutory documentation is reviewed and relevant actions are prioritised.

 

The post holder will need some experience of dealing with financial affairs, such as interrogating, reconciling and paying any services related invoices and be a confident user of IT packages to record, monitor and capture financial expenditure as well as management of system-based reports.

To be responsible for delivery of responsive and effective FM hard services across the diverse civic portfolio through a professional FM team including

 

You will:

  • Leading two multi-discipline teams.
  • Control and performance monitoring of all FM hard services, contracts and contractors.
  • Ensure reactive and PPM works are undertaken and completed within SLAs.
  • Preparation of specifications for quotes and tenders.
  • Performance driven FM services with set expectations.
