Hampshire County Council is responsible for managing one of the largest highway networks in the country. This is a complex and considerable task and requires robust data and effective data management to improve business processes and to ensure the network is managed effectivley.


We are looking for a self-motivated and proactive individual to join the Asset Management Team. The team is at the core of the highways department and uses data to help inform business decisions, drive efficiencies and develop strategies that improve the highway maintenance service.


You will be responsible for providing technical support for a wide range of highway projects. The role requires the editing, analysis and manipulation of highway asset databases using a wide range of IT systems including Geographical Information Systems (GIS). A systematic approach to working with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail is essential.


We are normally based in a city-centre building with access to excellent facilities and close to local transport links. During the current Covid-19 situation you will be required to work from home using Hampshire County Council supplied IT equipment.
