Contract type: Temporary for 2 years

Adults’ Health and Care:

A fantastic opportunity to work for Adults’ Health and Care, playing a key role in supporting the delivery of sustainable change to support the Adults Health and Care vision.

The department is running a series of transformation projects and programmes, including the development of frontline service areas, the positioning of more of its services at the front door, embracing new digital technologies and developing innovative, award-winning telecare and strengths-based adult social care solutions.

The department is looking for enthusiastic and self motivated individuals to work in a friendly and busy environment within the Adults Health and Care department.  

The ideal candidate will be driven, have a ‘can do’ attitude with a flexible approach to a varied workload, working autonomously as well as part of a team. With excellent organisational and communication skills, you will have experience in a business administrative role, with strong MS Office skills.

Job Purpose:

To provide effective and efficient business administration assistance, supporting project management staff in the delivery of various transformation projects and providing administrative support to the management team.

Role Responsibilities:

•    Provide general administrative support across the team at all levels including diary management, scheduling meetings, supporting the organisation of events, and minute taking.
•    Attendance at meetings, writing and tracking of minutes and actions as required, ensuring outstanding actions are being dealt with in a timely way.
•    Manage incoming communications from stakeholders, both internal and external
•    Support with production of written communications
•    Communicate appropriately to ensure collaborative working.
•    Support the project teams with project documentation formatting, updating and tracking as required.
•    Raising of purchase orders and processing of payments as required.
•    Be aware of current relevant policies, systems and procedures and Best Practice to provide advice and support within the team.
•    Knowledge or experience of working within public service sector, with an understanding of the current challenges.
 

Role Requirements:

•    Excellent organisational skills
•    Strong administrative background, supporting varied and busy teams.
•    Self motivated and experienced in prioritising own workload, working to tight timescales, multi-tasking and the ability to work at a fast pace for continued lengths of time
•    Effective communication skills, working with all levels in the organisation and with external contacts, both orally and in writing. 
•    Flexible and cooperative team player
•    Computer literate with experience in using a variety of Microsoft packages including Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook and Sharepoint.
 

Working Conditions:
  • Display Screen Equipment user
  • Must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role as you may be required to travel to other HCC sites in Hampshire. 
  • Manual Handling: Objects up to 5kg
