Do you want to work for a forward-thinking, digitally progressive organisation?

At Hampshire County Council, we currently have opportunities for talented Technical Consultants to support us through an exciting period of transformation, which is being facilitated by a shift towards cloud-based services to enable a more mobile and flexible workforce.

The post holder will be responsible for delivery, support and maintenance of a wide range of technical solutions based on some of the latest enterprise class platforms, including a Nutanix Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Windows Server 2012/2016, Office 365 product suite, Azure services, Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM), Citrix (XenApp, XenDesktop, PVS, NetScaler), VMware vSphere, Microsoft Active Directory, App-V, Hyper-V, PowerShell scripting and Linux.

About You
Ideally you will be a technical generalist, but you don’t need to be proficient in all the areas that we cover. If you are a quick learner and have experience in two or more of these technologies, then we’d like to hear from you.

Either way, you will be working with cutting edge technologies to deliver transformational projects or support and maintain existing services.

You will have proven experience and be used to working in a professional environment using ITIL processes. You will be a trusted advisor to senior managers and will support and mentor less experienced colleagues.

What we offer
You will have the satisfaction of knowing that the work you do is making a real difference to the people living in and visiting Hampshire, including some of the most vulnerable children and adults in the county. We offer an excellent benefits package alongside a flexible working environment, a structured training plan and a vast range of technologies that will provide a great opportunity to develop your knowledge.
