Hampshire County Council Property Services have a vacancy for an Energy Technical Officer within the Energy team and Operations Department. The position requires the candidate to manage, lead, support and develop Energy activities, initiatives, and business opportunities.

 

The role will include activities such as technical support and delivery of energy projects, data analysis, the identification of Energy and Carbon reduction opportunities, development of business cases, and the delivery of expectations to reduce the Councils carbon footprint and energy costs in line with our Climate Change strategy. You'll be required to identify and obtain internal and external funding opportunities and strategies to deliver projects.

 

The successful candidate will have an outward focus with other public sector clients to create business opportunities and enhance the Councils positive reputation for innovation and successful work stream delivery. In addition, the candidate is to further expand and manage the programmes of building energy performance improvement works, analysis of data and benchmarking, including interpreting energy data, supporting client groups and identifying areas and opportunities for saving energy.

You will be working alongside skilled and enthusiastic Energy and building Services professionals who will assist and support you in the delivery of a variety of energy reduction projects and programmes. If you have gained an appropriate academic degree qualification (or equivalent), and have strong analytical skills with a desire to work in this exciting area, we would be pleased to hear from you.
