The Contracts Team in Engineering Consultancy is looking for a highly motivated Contract Strategy and Performance Manager to join the team.  Working under your own initiative, you will be able to manage your time and workload and provide regular updates to the Strategic Frameworks Manager.

 

As a Contract Strategy and Performance Manager, you will be the important link between our existing Highways and Civil Engineering works and services Frameworks and our Engineering design and Client teams. Our existing Framework and Contracts include:

 

  • Our three Generation Four (Gen4) Civil Engineering Works Frameworks - for works up an individual project value of £150m.
  • Our Gen4 Technical Resources Framework (TRF) - which is made up of three lots supplying people and small-scale design services. 
  • Our Strategic Partner Contract - this contract is a single supplier professional design services contract with a turnover of £10m p/a.

 

You will be able to manage exiting Frameworks within your area of expertise, ensuring performance and quality standards are maintained at the highest level. You will also be confident when providing NEC4 contract and commercial advice where required. You will also be required to regularly meet with consultants and contractors on our Frameworks to overcome issues, discuss forward workload, track performance and gain industry knowledge vital to the team. To enable this, you will be knowledgeable, enthusiastic, positive about interacting with people and enjoy problem solving.

 

Whilst you will ideally have a good working knowledge of the Highways and Civil Engineering sector and NEC4 forms of contract (Engineering and Construction Contract and/or Professional Service Contract), we are not looking for someone with all of the subject knowledge from day one. We are an organisation who are keen to find someone who fits into a very supportive and collaborative team and is willing to develop.  

 

You will have excellent IT and communication skills as well as good political awareness and personal management skills. You will be confident in dealing with our Strategic Partner (Atkins), Gen4 Framework contractors, internal clients, other public bodies, industry representatives and have the ability to ensure that good quality customer service is provided at all times.

 

You may also be required to work flexibly across the wider Contracts team, particularly in relation to Framework support.


Whilst this role is predominately office based (Winchester, Hampshire) you may be expected to attend meetings at other locations. In the current situation, you will be required to work remotely, in line with all Hampshire County Council staff.
