Job Details:

Salary Range: £18,887 - £19,208  pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £10,208 - £10,381 per annum)
Work Location: Romsey & Waterside Day Service, Totton
Hours per week: 20
Contract Type: Temporary for two years initially

The Role:

Romsey & Waterside Day Services provides daytime activities for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
 
As the driver you will be responsible for transporting service users to and from Romsey & Waterside Day Services.  The Day is split into two parts 8am - 10am and 3.30pm - 5-30pm.
 
You will require a clean driving licence with Category D1 code or equivalent and if successful will be required to complete MIDAS training (minibus driver awareness scheme). Someone with good communication skills and a sense of humour would be ideal.
 
The Driver will need to be confident dealing with people and be able to manage moving people using a wheelchair, or with mobility issues, and will need to clamp wheelchairs safely in the buses after training. On the job training for routes and responsibilities will be provided, also our comprehensive induction programme will provide all your necessary training.
