Salary range: £18,933 - £19,941 pro-rata, per annum (actual salary £15,350 - £16,168 per annum)

The Role:

We currently have an opportunity for a part-time maintenance person to join our friendly team.

The role is based at 110A-C West Street which is a CQC registered crisis service for younger adults with learning disabilities. The care home is based in Havant providing professional, compassionate care in a friendly and welcoming environment. Our service users are younger people, and our aim is to provide independence though providing opportunities to enhance their quality of life in a number of ways. The role holder will contribute to these aims as part of the team.  
 

Working alongside our service users and operational teams you will support the Registered Manager by maintaining the buildings, grounds, furniture and equipment to ensure high standards of cleanliness, operational effectiveness and compliance with all statutory requirements as applicable to the setting, so that the service can run smoothly in a clean, safe and pleasant environment.

You will also be responsible for maintaining furniture, fixtures and fittings with a responsibility for reporting any faults via our Term Maintenance Contractors and maintaining appropriate records. You will need to be skilled in routine maintenance activities. You will also have some responsibilities in relation to the required health & safety checks of the site as determined by the management team of the service.

You will lead on the provision of essential maintenance within our service and maintain high standards in all areas. You will interact with service users, showing empathy, the ability to relate appropriately to people with learning disabilities, have an understanding of their needs and play a key role in providing a caring and homely environment.
