Salary Range: £21,403-£24,055 per annum
Work Location: This is a county-wide role and you may be required to work from a range of service and other locations.
Hours per week: 37 hours - We are open to discussions about part time hours for this post
Contract Type: Permanent

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Young People’s Learning teams and to further develop and grow our programmes for young people and young adults. We have developed number of successful programmes including Supported Internships, which this post holder will support on. If you have the experience of working closely with vulnerable/SEN learners in an education or training setting and have excellent support skills, then this could be an ideal opportunity. This post may require you to travel and work county wide. 

A core requirement of the role is to build and maintain effective and professional relationships with learners, taking a strength-based approach in supporting them to achieve their learning aims. In class, Skills Coaches provide 1:1 and small group support, helping learners complete tasks, applying sound coaching techniques to ensure they develop the skills to thrive as independent learner. Skills Coaches also support Tutors to design and implement a learner’s Individual Learning Plan (ILP), identifying and addressing gaps in knowledge, and providing numeracy, literacy, and digital support.

You will support our learners, directly in the classroom, remotely using MS Teams and in placement with employers. A core requirement of the role is to build and maintain effective and professional relationships with learners, taking a strength-based approach to supporting them to achieve their learning aims. You will be highly motivated, with experience of a supporting people within an educational setting, as well as providing learning support, coping strategies, understanding the legal requirements of an Educational Health & Care plan and interventions

You will be expected to work in various locations across Hampshire; therefore, a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential for this role.
