Hampshire Achieves is the service within Hampshire County Council’s Children’s Services department with responsibility for the delivery of the Council’s apprenticeship programme, adult and community learning; alternative post-16 provision for learners who are not engaged in education and/or training.

Due to the expansion of our apprenticeship training programme, we are seeking to recruit a professional, motivated, an experienced Learning and Skills Tutor to join the team and to undertake teaching and assessor activities in Adult Health & Social Care Level 2 to Level 5 standards.

This is an exciting and diverse opportunity to join a dedicated team, working with apprentices employed by Hampshire County Council and contributing towards end-to-end apprenticeship experience, from point of enquiry, to onboarding, on programme progress monitoring, through to end point assessment and celebration of achievement.

Through observations of teaching, learning and assessment you will establish and support continual improvement of the teaching, learning and assessment practices by evaluating classroom activity against the criteria of the Education Inspection Framework (EIF), focusing on the outcomes for learners.

You will be responsible for planning, deliver and continually review high quality development/education through session plans designed to directly meet the identified needs of the learners/ cohorts - inspiring them to engage, attain and progress.

You will be continually looking at ways to make improvements that benefit learners, assessors, tutors and ultimately our service.  You will be an effective communicator, committed team member with a proactive and flexible attitude.  You will have excellent organisational and negotiation skills.

A successful applicant will contribute towards team creativity, planning, delivery, and evaluation of promotional activity that inspires and raises the profile of apprenticeships.
