Work Location:  Audley's Resource Centre, Alton Road, Basingstoke
Hours per week: 37
Contract type: Permanent
Closing date: 10 July 2022

Audley's Resource Service is a unique service where individuals with physical disabilities and complex learning disabilities are supported to engage in meaningful activities to help to reach their goals or simply have fun with their friends!

We have a bespoke, fully accessible building with great facilities including a woodwork room, gym, kitchen, art room, craft room and IT suite. We also have a beautiful garden which is tended to by the service users and we are in the process of developing our own sensory room and independent living skills training centre.

As well as making use of the facilities within the centre, we believe it is important for our service users to access the community and all the fun and experiences it has to offer. Our staff support service users on trips to places such as garden centres, pubs, museums, zoos, farms, seaside and swimming pools.

Our prime objective is to enable adults with complex learning disabilities and physical disabilities to engage in the individualised service, with the ultimate aim of enhancing the quality of their lives and to be part of their local community. We use a person-centred approach to ensure that everyone is treated as the individual they are and supported to reach their goals.

You may have some experience of enabling and providing care, but most importantly you will have strong values and share our commitment to enabling people to a full and active life. You will be a strong team player, with great communication skills, including some IT and recording skills.

HCC have a comprehensive induction programme that will provide you with all the training you need. Continuous development and a variety of progression opportunities are offered alongside a generous benefits package.

Full COVID-19 vaccination status is no longer required as a condition of employment, but being fully vaccinated is strongly encouraged.
