Your role will be to enable access to data that PSD hold in terms of the Centurion system. To produce performance data to inform the Force of trends in areas such as complaints against staff, complaints made by the public and conduct matters. This work is critical to providing information about issues of policing legitimacy.

Your responsibilities will be but not limited to: 

1. Complete and validate statutory and non-statutory data requirements, from outside the force e.g. IOPC, Home Office, HMICFRS, NPCC and the OPCC. This will also include other forces and internal customers including district commanders and department heads.

2. Publish regular/standard data products from Centurion to support Force functions including FPG and Area Performance Meetings.

3. Facilitate the provision of self-serve data requests by PSD staff.

4. Manage electronic data collation and retrieval systems, including but not limited to RMS and Centurion.

5. Identify appropriate and relevant datasets for the customer’s need (for example, identifying a cohort or a data extract for a piece of research/analysis).

Essential Qualifications

Educated to QCF Level 2 (5 passes) or to have undertaken work experience deemed to have brought the postholder to a comparable level.

Essential Experience

Experience of maintaining and updating complex record keeping systems.

Good literacy, numeracy and computer skills.

Previous experience of, or trained in the use of, data extraction or visualisation tools.
