Role: Transferee / Rejoinee Special Constable
Salary: Volunteer role
Location: Various locations around Hampshire & Isle of Wight

Entry requirements for Special Constable
There are no minimum qualification requirements however, you must successfully complete the above selection process.
The medical clearance process includes a BMI measurement, please note anyone over BMI 30 will be referred to our fitness team for guidance to reduce BMI and this will have an impact on your start date.
Expectations and Benefits
This role is a voluntary role and hours can be completed flexibly in order to fit around your current commitments. You are required to complete a minimum 16 hours per month (192 hours per year). Within these minimum hours, you are expected to complete all necessary training for the role, including annual personal safety and first aid training.

Job Purpose
In the role of a Special you will perform and exercise Police duties and powers, under the supervision of, and supported by the regular police. You will assist the regular police in solving local policing issues in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.
Special Constables are required to complete an average minimum of 16 hours per month (192 hours per year).

Essential Experience
Previous experience as a Special Constable within Hampshire Constabulary in the last 5 years or a serving Special Constable in another policing area.
