Salary: Police Staff Scale 6 to SO1, £26,208 to £30,951, per annum / Pro rata
Contract: Temporary (Fixed Term Contract or Casual)
Hours: Part and Full Time

TempForce at Hampshire Constabulary are looking for experienced investigators to join our temporary staff bank, and be part of a professional and dedicated team carrying out a wide variety of investigations.
We currently have a high demand for outside action teams for major investigations and serious violence investigations. This will mean completing tasked actions to a thorough standard. This will include, house to house enquiries, CCTV collection and review, witness tracing and interviewing.
You will be required to assist with suspect interviewing and custody processes.
Some travel around Hampshire may be required so candidates with a clean driving license are desirable.
We require you to be qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent, have proven experience of working within an investigatory type role, ideally with a working knowledge and experience of Criminal Law and Criminal Justice procedures.
This role will suit an experienced Detective Constable, Detective Sergeant, Detective Inspector or Police Staff Investigator looking for a range of flexible work.
The assignments we receive can last from a few weeks through to 6 months or longer on a part or full time basis.
The assignments are generally based in one of the three main Police Investigation Centres (Basingstoke, Portsmouth and Southampton) but can also be based in other locations including Winchester and Fareham. A small number of roles may also be available on the Isle of Wight.

Essential Qualifications
Qualified to PIP 1 or 2 or equivalent
It is also desirable that applicants have pre-existing and current vetting that meets the national vetting standard from Hampshire Constabulary or another police force.
Essential Experience
Experienced Detective Constable, Detective Sergeant, Detective Inspector and upwards or Police Staff Investigator
